[PRODUCT UPDATE] Action Wizard, sending SMS and Emails, placing Calls

We’re pleased to announce new features/changes on Studio (staging) published in this week. Following are the details about these features:

New Feature

•    Sheets

• • Row coloring in sheets – You can apply colors to specific rows based on filter criteria. A new option called “Colour” will appear on the sheet header. Clicking on the Colour button will open up the menu where you can input filter criteria. Put filter criteria and click on Validate. When the validate results to success, you can click on the color selector button (which will replace the Validate button) and select the color for the filtered rows.

  • Action Wizard menu has been introduce for Action button control. When you click on “A” icon, you will see the Actions menu. Using Wizard you can bind Formula such as
    1) Exit App
    2) Call
    3) SMS
    4) Email
    5) Navigate to
    6) Actions (which will open the Actions formula box).

• Sheets
  • Sort First to Last/Last to First on Single Select and Multiselect column type.
    You will be able to sort Single Select/Multiselect columns based on the formula values fed into the column.
    For e.g. if a drop down column has formula say – [“A”,”B”,”C”,”D”], then sorting First to Last will sort records based on cell having values based on the formula order – A > B > C > D; whereas, Sort Last to First will sort based on order D > C > B > A.
  • Sorting can now be done on Toggle column.

    – You can define the column display width in pixels in the control property – Max Column Width
    – Image urls will be displayed as images irrespective of the column type.
  • Pagination for the data loaded in the list type controls (table, list, user list, leaderboard, detail card, product list, mini card) improvised.

• Sheets
  • Users Sheet is migrated from apis to pouchdb. Now it will have real time syncing enabled.
  • Users Sheet has been updated to latest features like filter, row colouring, grouping, formula wizard etc..

  • Controls – Table & List

  • Formula column bug – lookup wasn’t working as expected in case of formula column.
  • Empty cell bug – null values doesn’t get set in empty cells. Instead undefined gets set.
  • Enable/disable sorting toggle not working.
  • Disable sort, close pop up, and then re-open the pop up – the Enable/Disable toggle does not remain in disabled state.
  • Disable sort, change sort direction and then Enable sort again: Sorting does not apply according to the updated direction.
  • Applied Filter resets when sorting direction changes.
  • Applied Filter resets when sorting direction changes.

• Workflows
  • LOOKUP() & Date time issues fixed. Now you can update/insert data from another sheet or update/insert date time values using Workflows.
